RashTalk

Presentation

A bimonthly publication containing comment and ramblings on matters medical and dermatological.

Uses

Rash Talk is for use as a restorative for labourers in the vineyard of healthcare; an analgesic for hewers at the coalface of medicine; an antiemetic for sailors on the storm tossed seas of physic; an emollient for the callouses of healing hands; a febrifuge for overheated commissioners of the Hippocratic oath. In brief, Rash Talk may be used to provide a transient sense of well-being.

Dosage and Administration

Rash Talk is suitable for all adults, particularly those with arrested development. It should be taken whole or in divided doses with fluids as necessary. Dosage requirements can differ significantly between individuals. After the first dose individuals may adjust their consumption to maintenance level according to their needs.

Contra-indications, Warnings etc

Contra-indications: Rash Talk is contra-indicated in individuals with no sense of humour and hypersensitivity to mildly irreverent views on healthcare.

Precautions: Rash Talk is for external use only. It is quickly metabolized, particularly when mixed with alcohol. It is important not to take Rash Talk too seriously. It is usually well tolerated and occasionally associated with quiet chuckling. Irritation and drowsiness with bilateral ptosis have been described. There is no evidence of dependency but Rash Talk may become habit forming.

Drug Interactions: Concomitant use of serious medical journals is not advised. Rash Talk may be used as an antidote to journals but should be taken separately

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: There are no data on reproductive toxicity studies with Rash Talk in animals or humans. Pregnant rats seemed to enjoy shredded Rash Talk as bedding in their cages and did not suffer any teratogenic effects. No adverse effects have been recorded in human pregnancy. One case of prematurely ruptured membranes was thought to be unconnected. Rash Talk does not cross the blood-brain barrier. It is safe to use during breast-feeding providing the individual is seated.

Overdosage: There is little experience of overdose but prolonged counselling may be helpful.
